NEET Syllabus 2021

NEET or National Eligibility cum entrance test is a medical entrance examination that is conducted by the national testing agency for the purpose of admission to various MBBS and BDS courses in various government and private colleges. Now, Neet has become the only medical entrance examination that is conducted for admission to various government as well as private colleges in our country. In our country, there are many students who dream of becoming a doctor and for this, they have to clear the Neet entrance examination.

We can also say that the Neet entrance examination is the sole entrance test for admission to MBBS and BDS courses in our country. Before the Neet entrance examination was conducted by the Central Board of secondary education, but now this examination is conducted by the national testing agency ( NTA). Neet entrance examination is conducted annually and Neet 2021 will be held at around 155 test centers in our country India. It is not easy for one to crack the Neet entrance examination. It requires a lot of hard work and dedication to get success in this examination. With approximately 16 lakh test-takers Neet entrance examination is the most important medical entrance examination which is conducted in India for undergraduate admissions. The registration forms for Neet 2021 are expected to be released anytime soon in January 2021. 

notably, The other medical entrance examinations like AIIMS and JIPMER MBBS have been discontinued and now the admission for both government and private colleges happens through the Neet entrance examination. The process of applying to this examination is online. Neet entrance examination is an offline entrance examination that is conducted pen and paper-based. Neet entrance examination is a national level examination.

SYLLABUS OF NEET ENTRANCE EXAMINATION

The syllabus of the Neet entrance examination 2021 comprises three subjects which are physics, biology, and Chemistry. All the topics which are covered in this examination are from class 10th to class 12th. Eligibility Criteria for Neet 2021

The eligibility criteria for Neet 2021 is prescribed by the national testing agency. All the candidates who wish to appear for the Neet entrance examination are advised to check if they fit into the criteria which are specified by the national testing agency. The candidates who fulfill the following parameters are the only ones who are eligible for Neet entrance examinations 2021.

 

Nationality:

  • Indian nationals
  • Nonresident Indians, NRIs
  • Persons with Indian origin, PIO
  • Foreign nationals
  • An overseas citizen of India, OCI

 

Age Limit:

As of December 31, 2021, the minimum age of the candidate should be 17 years. The rule of specifying the maximum age limit for the candidate was challenged in the court of law. So, there is no upper age limit as of now for the candidates of the Neet entrance examination. The candidates older than 25 years of age applying for Neet 2021 will be provisionally admitted to the subject to the ruling of the high court of Delhi.

 

Minimum qualification:

  • The candidate who wants to appear for the Neet entrance examination must have cleared class 12th or equivalent from any recognized Institute.  
  • The candidates who are appearing for class 12 in summer 2021 can also apply for Neet 2021.
  • The candidates who have completed class 12th are equivalent from an open school and are also eligible to apply or appear for this examination. 

 

Mandatory subjects:

The candidates of the Neet entrance examination must have cleared class 12th or equivalent with physics, biology, and Chemistry subjects. The candidates who have passed class 12th or equivalent with biology as an additional subject are also eligible for the examination. the minimum marks required for qualifying for the examination are:- 

  • For General category: 50 percent
  • For PWD category: 45 percent
  • For SC/ST/OBC : 40 percent
