NEET or National Eligibility cum entrance test is a medical entrance examination that is conducted by the national testing agency for the purpose of admission to various MBBS and BDS courses in various government and private colleges. Eligibility Criteria for Neet 2021
The eligibility criteria for Neet 2021 is prescribed by the national testing agency. All the candidates who wish to appear for the Neet entrance examination are advised to check if they fit into the criteria which are specified by the national testing agency. The candidates who fulfill the following parameters are the only ones who are eligible for Neet entrance examinations 2021.

- Indian nationals
- Nonresident Indians, NRIs
- Persons with Indian origin, PIO
- Foreign nationals
- An overseas citizen of India, OCI
Age Limit:
As of December 31, 2021, the minimum age of the candidate should be 17 years. The rule of specifying the maximum age limit for the candidate was challenged in the court of law. So, there is no upper age limit as of now for the candidates of the Neet entrance examination. The candidates older than 25 years of age applying for Neet 2021 will be provisionally admitted to the subject to the ruling of the high court of Delhi.
Minimum qualification:
- The candidate who wants to appear for the Neet entrance examination must have cleared class 12th or equivalent from any recognized Institute.
- The candidates who are appearing for class 12 in summer 2021 can also apply for Neet 2021.
- The candidates who have completed class 12th are equivalent from an open school and are also eligible to apply or appear for this examination.
Mandatory subjects:
The candidates of the Neet entrance examination must have cleared class 12th or equivalent with physics, biology, and Chemistry subjects. The candidates who have passed class 12th or equivalent with biology as an additional subject are also eligible for the examination. the minimum marks required for qualifying for the examination are:-
- For General category: 50 percent
- For PWD category: 45 percent
- For SC/ST/OBC : 40 percent
