NTSE Syllabus
The National Talent Search Exam (NTSE) formally known as the National Science Talent Search Scheme ( NSTSS) is an examination for scholarship that is organised at the national level. The exam is conducted to find and upgrade the students’ mental ability and logical reasoning.
The NTSE exam is conducted at the All India level annually for the students of class 10th. The Exam has two stages – Stage 1 is at the State Level and Stage 2 is at the National Level. To get this Prestigious scholarship, students need to qualify for both stages of the exam.
Candidates who are interested in applying for the NTSE examination can apply in both the mode online and offline mode. Additionally, students who are living in India and who are living abroad can apply for this Scholarship examination. The major aim of this examination is to evaluate the specific skills and abilities of the students. Stage 1 of the examination is conducted by the SCERT or the state authority and the Stage 2 examination is conducted by the NCERT. Those who qualify the stage 1 can appear for the stage 2 examination.
The NTSE exam comprises two papers – the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) & Mental Ability Test (MAT). They both have 100 questions of 1 mark each and students get 2 hours for each paper. Out of all, 2000 candidates are shortlisted and awarded monthly scholarships.
